A fantastic hotel in a lovely quiet spot, surrounded by beautiful trees, lovely garden area to sit in. Great pool, excellent room lovely and clean. Staff excellent so attentive in the restaurant, great food and service. Great choice of menu. Very easy to travel from here, use ferry to visit other towns. Visit to Milan is a must. More

We found this hotel convenient for the shopping area and lakeside which was a 5-10 minute walk away. Garda was a good location and very pretty resort - well worth a visit. The hotel was much larger than we expected but we found our room to be quite acceptable with enough space, clean, comfortable and quiet. Room service was excellent!... More

Paperthin walls (wardrobes appear to be shared wirtyh adjoining rooms, half/half, with no sound insulation!), noisy plumbing, German guests stampeding and putting the world to rights from 6am onwards. Breakfast abysmal (where do they buy this rubbish), not even a decent cup of coffee (amazing for (Italians), orange squash masquerading as orange juice, hot water too cold to maike a... More

II have just returned from spending a week at 'The Suite' which is part of the Palme Hotel in Garda. Let me say that we went on a last minute allocation on arrival holiday so we knew we had to take 'pot luck' but were at least assured of a 3star hotel. On arrival our hearts dropped a little because... More

It's all a bit confusing. The Royal, Palme and Palme Suite in Garda are all adjacent and owned by the same company ( Chimanieri I recollect). The Palme Suite is a large annexe of the Palm. The Suite Guests have their own reception and pool but otherwise dine ( a word I use loosely), in the Palm, a few yards... More

My parents booked for a whole family holiday to this hotel, the 11th time they have been there in 15 years. It was our first trip to Garda, being normally used to going to Turkey, Greece or the Canaries. We read the reviews on this site before going away and wondered what on earth we were going to find. All... More

I am sorry to say I have to agree with elizabethb`s report on 23rd September 2007 Things have still not changed and we shall not be returning. I will say though that other people we spoke to did like the hotel and said that they will be returning next year. Others agreed with us and will not be returning. I... More

We arrived at the Hotel Royal, after reading the previous reviews yet still going ahead, because of the price. Let's say I have learnt my lesson. Reception smelled of smoke everyday. Not cigarette smoke, but like a fire had burned the night before. We went to our room, and while the size was acceptable, nothing else was. ok, the sheets... More

I was initially a bit worried about the holiday as we had booked for the Suite or Royal and didn't know which one we would be in. The reviews on here were mixed but we decided to make up our own mind. I'm glad we did as the hotel was great. The room is slightly basic but then you're not... More
