we happened to stop at Ferrara for a night, unplanned. walked into the Corte Estense hotel, and loved it! a bit over done, but nice and clean and friendly. location was superb, price was right, and staff was nice and helpful. would definitely recommend!

this was a good hotel, in the center of Ferrara quite close to a parking, although it is in a not to easy to find narrow lane. Presents itself well and service is adequate. The ambiance was relaxing. The location is perfect to visit the center of Ferrara. The rooms were comfortable in particular the beds!!! charming hotel in the historic center, friendly staff, tasteful decorated room with modern clean bath, plenty of choices of breakfast buffet, quiet location right next to where the action is: cathedral and castle and shopping and restaurants within 500m.

I really liked this hotel. A very nice, clean room and the location was outstanding with literally a 2 minute walk to the Cathedral and Piazza. Room was quite large as well. Free breakfast in the morning and they even had scrambled eggs! Excellent choice for Ferrara.
