This is not the first time ive stayed here with my family, i started coming as a child. We are actually on the website from the first time we stayed here, the little chefs. It is still as beautiful as it was so many years ago. It is a beautiful atmosphere and the owner Ulrike and her son Fabian are... More

I feel it is only fair to provide another perspective of Poderi Val Verde in light of so many glowing reviews.  A group of 9 friends (3 couples and 3 singles) stayed for one week in October of this year in the house called Casa Pineta.  The villa we were in was very spacious with ensuite bathrooms for every bedroom.... everybody is entitle to its own opinion - guests stayed in a high rated resort with spa before they came to me so naturally our farmhouse cannot compare. even after 5 hours of cleaning one or the other spiderweb may always escape out attention - the house is very large! the rubber sheet mentioned are protection sheets -guests could have... As two couples, Poderi Val Verde's restored farmhouse was indeed rustic, but was perfect for us: adjoining suites each with a kitchen and patio overlooking the stunning grounds, one with a living room and fireplace, the other with a fantastic sunroom overlooking the grounds and pool. We stayed for our full 2 week visit and were thrilled with our choice... More

The accommodation at this estate was very comfortable, authentically Tuscan, clean and hygienic with much character. We stayed with our 2 children for a total of 2 weeks often just soaking up the scenic surrounds trying to spot wild boar and deer. The pool was very welcoming in July when summer temperatures soared. The facilities were great offering plenty for... More

Poderi Val Verde offers a truly relaxing rustic getaway in the woodlands of the Chianti hills. Ulrike, the owner of Poderi Val Verde, is an exceedingly gracious host, and her Saturday-night welcome dinners are a fantastic way to start off a week-long vacation: Ulrike's dinners offer a heavenly indulgence of phenomenal home cooking. (Her cooking classes are highly entertaining and... More

We stayed here in the beautiful 'capinana' which had 2 beds, 2 baths and a lovely kitchen/living area with huge outdoor space too. It was just perfect and exactly what we expected - a rustic farmhouse in gorgeous surroundings. The welcome meal was delicious, the eggs are a must - yes they were cheaper in town but they were not... More

I traveled to Poderi Val Verde in early November with my sister and brother-in-law, which was a perfect time to enjoy the cooler weather, and fewer tourists. For our visit, nights were cool - around 40 degrees, and in the 60s during the day. It was perfect. As the other reviewers mention, the experience is indeed rustic so be sure... More

We arrived to Poderi Val Verde and the setting and location were perfect. Ulrike was also very friendly and helpful with suggestions of sites to see and places within the nearby region to enjoy. Also the swimming pool was beautiful and perfect for the hot days. On the downside it was a bit too rustic for our enjoyment and much... More

A general statement: Real old Tuscan farmhouses ( we look back on 350 years of history) should be "rustic" inside and outside - have this unique flair of ... once upon the time there was .. after all they are farmhouses not villas. Rustic stands for an original ambient - not for "low class" accommodations. We consider 2 of our... More
