Castellina in Chianti is one of our favorite Vacation Locations. And this hotel is the perfect location to stay. Located in the beautiful main street of Castellina (pedestrian zone), close to the central square with its wonderful restaurants and coffee bars, it offers a true Tuscany experience. The hotel is located in an old palace and all rooms are individually... More

We left the hotel after a 3 night stay feeling relaxed and very happy. The staff were so helpful and professional. They were there if you needed them, friendly and warm but not over bearing in anyway. The room was perfect, good space, comfortable bed, lovely view. We asked for a quiet room and this is what we got! Hidden... More

My husband and I stayed here 6 years ago; this hotel is still as charming as it was then. The staff is friendly, helpful. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable; bathroom was modern and quite spacious. The spa is beautiful. The breakfast buffet was quite delicious; great coffee, too. The back patio overlooks the gorgeous countryside. Castellina is quite a... More

We ended our tuscan/chianti trip with this hotel and what a delight it was! This was my favorite place of all the hotels we stayed in. This little town is so quaint and fun and we had a really nice time just walking around, eating pastas and pizzas and drinking carafes of wine! The owner was a lady who was... More

We have just returned from a 10 day adventure in Tuscany. By far the most stunning property and venue was in Palazzo Squarcialupi The setting was only equalled to the hospitality we encountered. My wife discovered here by chance on the day and we stayed for threee glorious nights We were able to discover not only the whole Chianti region... More

We had planned for six months to stay in another town in Tuscany. At the last minute we discovered that there was in fact no room available where we thought we had made reservations. We scrambled frantically to find accommodations for four nights one week prior to our departure to Italy. After great difficulty (we were almost convinced that we'd... More

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Palazzo which is a lovely old building in the heart of the village. We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment right next door to the hotel and it was perfect for our needs. The view from our balcony at the rear of the apartment was stunning as it looked right over the... We picked this hotel because it was in a town and not isolated in the countryside. Very good decision. This is a great place to base your tour of the Chianti region. The staff is helpful, there are good restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The room was very large, with the biggest bathroom and shower so far this trip. The... More
