My husband and I just returned from a five night stay at this property. They are located in the hills above Alba - once you find your way it is not bad - close to all of the hill towns. The property is a working winery/vineyard and the house itself is a refurbished farm house. Our room was #3 -... More

Great location and very very nice and professional reception. We asked for a later breakfast and they let us found a beautiful table with nice cakes and biscuits made by them. The depandance's room were we slept was really cosy and the bed very comfortable. There is a beautiful view on the hills and grapevines. Unfortunately we couldn't taste the... More

Saverio Tallano was the perfect host for our stay in the beautiful Alba/Barolo Wine Countryside. Our room in the cottage below the hotel and winery was very unique and comfortable. Dinner exceeded our expectations with excellent Boroli wines enhancing each course. The setting is perfect, with vineyards just outside the door. The Boroli Family has made this a “gem” of... More

This place is amazing. The location, above Alba, is surrounded by grapevines and they make wine on the property. The view is basically 360 degrees of grapes and hill towns. If that weren't enough, the staff is superlative. The manager, Saverio Taliano, is so professional and yet amazingly helpful and casually concerned for your enjoyment. The mix of these qualities... For a long time we wanted to visit the Piedmont, because we had heard about its wines and, of course, about the white truffle. And finally we decided to come this summer. Unfortunately, it was not the truffle season (as it was explained, it is possible to try truffles in October and November), but despite this fact we have enjoyed... More

My partner and I stayed here in the third week of August 2012. The hotel is on the outskirts of Alba, it cost us 40 euros for a return trip into Alba with a driver organised by the hotel. The setting of the hotel is absolutely fantastic. It is on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards with far reaching... More

My wife and I had dinner here recently, and it was the best dinner of our trip (and we enjoyed many fine meals on our trip, including several Michelin star restaurants). The view is splendid. The service is exemplary. We enjoyed the tasting menu. In addition to all of the courses you know you are receieiving they add several other... More

It was a surprisingly exquisite and charming experience. Locanda is on top of the vineyards of Barolo region. We wake up and can look upon the vineyards mixed with the mornings misty. It has a one michelin star restaurant, where you can experiment great italian food and the white truffles during this time of the year. It was really a... More

With 13 friends we were at dinner 09.11.2011. We had reservations, but unfortunately we sat down to two different tables. Food quality was very precarious. I had a seven-course menu. Amuse Buche was below average. The fish was terrible, as if from a bad school cafeteria. Contrast eggs with truffles were great. Other dishes were good. However, the service was... More

The Locanda was excellent in every way, exactly what we were looking for in a stay near Alba. Beautiful location amidst the rolling hills of vineyards, view of the snow covered Alps in the distance. Room was lovely, very comfortable, amazing view from our large window, excellent wifi access as well. The restaurant was terrific, the best meal we had... More
