We were scheduled to stay at the Akrabello for two nights, but pulled out after staying (reluctantly) for only one. To capture the atmosphere in one word, I would use "depressing." We were given a choice of two rooms. Both were large, bare and unattractive, devoid of any decoration or warmth. Built-in cheap wooden furniture, painted dark green with the... more

The hotel itself was wonderful. The rooms are nice, the people are fantastic, and dinner in their restaurant was outstanding. Its very close to the Valley of Temples, but not really to Agrigento. more

After a tiring day of sightseeing, it was good to know that our hotel was comfortable and clean, and within walking distance of a grocery store. It seemed like everyone needed something and we saw just about everyone from our tour at the store. We were only there for one night, but the pool and the bar areas were friendly... more

The Akrabello is a reasonable choice when visiting the Agrigento area of Sicily. If you have a car, it is just minutes from the Valley of the Temples and is a safe self-contained hotel in a suburb of Agrigento.
