We have recently had our wedding reception at the George and were given excellent service! The staff were brilliant and very friendly. The wedding breakfast food and the hog roast on the evening reception was lovely. We stayed over on the night and the room was lovely, we would definately stay again and would recommend this as a wedding reception!

This was a good place to stay. This was the second time I had stayed and I would stay again if I was in the area. I was on a walking holiday and its an ideal location on the Teesdale Way. Good and comfortable bedroom - nice food - good service.

Booked a midweek 2 night stay here with my partner. The room was 1st class, nice and specious, decorated to a high standard with good quality furnishings and the bed was 'extremely' comfy. Also overlooking the pretty peaceful grounds and river. Thank you for making our first stay a memorable one. We will definitely be back.
