This is my first camping trip. I would go with campsiteUK.com as well. not enough revies on tripadvisor. good points: 1/ the cleanest showers and toilet facilities I have seen and I am told be regular campers I met there. 2/ local shop with lots of things even some clothes and fishing gear foods etc, basic but has it all.... I booked a lodge at Waveney River Centre as a last minute short break (Mon-Fri) for my husband, daughter and myself. On arrival - the approach to the site is a 2 mile single track road - we were checked in by friendly staff and allocated Bungay Lodge. It was extremely comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The views over the... More

Waveney River Centre is set in a wonderful location, and it is a peaceful place to spend a holiday. Be sure to bring your food with you as only basic supplies are available. The pool is not large but it's very attractive and well maintained. Unfortunately the cafe creates acrid frying fumes. If you have a day out be sure... More

This is from a boater's point of view so don't know about the lodges. We have been coming to Burgh St Peter for years and seen so many changes. The kids love it here mainly for the Swimming Pool. Unfortunately I feel it necessary to mention a few things that need some attention. On our visit last week when we... More

A bit harsh I think, Pezb, I will try to answer your points. The power cut was well & truly beyond our control as this was a main supply failure but they did have us back up and running in less than 3 hours which I think is pretty good for a bank holiday Monday. The line around the pool... More

We have just come back from a short break at the Waveney River Centre, and overall we had a great time. We stayed in the Thurlton lodge which exceeded our expectation, very roomy and comfortable, had everything we needed. The facilities were good - the pool is quite small but enough to keep the kids occupied for a short time.... More

Everyone was very friendly, staff were always helpful and have a smile. Our Accommodation was top class spacious and very comfortable. The park was certainly ideal for a relaxing break. We stayed in October and even with the weather for that time of year it didn't spoil anything, would imagine in the summer it would be even better.

My wife and I decided to moor up at the Waveney River centre for a night as it advertised a pool which was child friendly. I paid £10 for the mooring which to begin with is extortionate for out of season then paid another £10.20 to go swimming with two of my children. When I entered the pool area we... More

This review is entirely unreasonable, especially in view of the fact that no complaint was made at the time and so there was no opportunity to discuss any problems experienced. Firstly, for £10 you get overnight mooring, unlimited use of our state of the art heated shower rooms with hairdryers for all your family, 2 childrens' play areas and waste... More

We stayed in the Norton, overlooking the marshes the views were wonderful. The lodge was very, very clean & provided everything we needed. Beds even made up for our arrival. We liked The Waveney Tavern, so much so that we ate there twice and were more than happy with the meals & surroundings. All the staff were friendly & helpful... More

We stayed on a touring pitch at Waveney River Centre. The pitch was in an excellent location to look out on the glorious view of the marina. The weather was beautiful which enhanced the features of this stunning area and park. Toilets were clean and very well laid out. Loved the separate shower rooms, and the key code lock is... More
