just got back home after a 3 day stay at the Northwood. Steve & Sandy were excellent hosts as nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was absolutely superb, very well cooked and presented. We were in room 8 and everything was in first class condition, very clean and the bedding was spotless clean. We will be booking again in August.... More

Stayed a couple of nights. Checked in late. Room comfortable with large bed without a footboard as previously requested due to my height. Good nights sleep with a seagull wake-up reminds you are very close to the seaside. Dog friendly. stayed for two nights over a weekend . room not serviced while i stayed there . owners did say that they would be out all day on the sunday . thats not a problem i thought . but still thought my room would have been serviced before they left for there day out . no way off drying my wet... More

In fairness the reviewer should have added that, as the owners would be away, he had a substantial reduction on his stay because his room would not be serviced. We are very sorry but we did let this guest down badly. The Northwood has two ground floor rooms, a twin and a single with level access to both the lounge and dining room. We have been coming here on holiday for 8 years and it just gets better as years pass, sandy and David provide an excellent homely service. fab food, warm and comfy rooms and nothing is too much trouble for them.
