This hotel is very convenient for proximity to the airport and has very good parking options that include parking at low or no charge for short trips away. The property has seen better days and you notice the wear and tear. However I found that although the room wasn't large, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was quite new... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Brentwood for a conference. Staff were excellent, rooms adequate and clean. An older style bathroom, comfortable beds and very spacious room. Close to the airport so you do get a bit of noise from planes in the mornings. Rooms not very sound proofed. Worth a stay if you want to be out at airport. More

I have used this hotel a lot over the last few years, I have also tried its competitors like the airport motel, and I can say with out a doubt the Bentwood is better value for money. It is an older hotel but defiantly not too shabby most areas like the bar and restaurant have been recently refurbished. the rooms... More

I stayed in this hotel on the weekend of the Rugby World Cup quarter finals. The staff were most helpful and it was bar one other hotel it was the most wheelchair friendly I came across in New Zealand. More

Went looking for a hotel near the airport as we had a flight leaving at 6:15am. An old Wellingtonian I worked with suggested the suburb and my web search came up with this place. Reasonable prices during the World Cup were appreciated! Accommodation was clean and large, but beds were a bit soggy. Showers were new-ish but terrible pressure. Room... More

We booked to stay here as we were a large group travelling to Wellington for the Rugby World Cup and we could not find anywhere else with enough vacancies to accommodate us. To be fair, they had not hiked the prices up like everywhere else and there are quite a few positives about the place. The hotel is in Kilbirnie,... More

The hotel is handy to catch a flight from Wellington. Very close to town to eat out, only thing it let it down is they didn't have a bath in our suite. Apparently all the ones with baths have been taken. It would have been very nice to have a soak after our long road trip down from Auckland. More

Mid-winter Wellington and this place has slow old heaters and no electric blanket! Appalling! Served by surly young staff. No lifts and no offer of help to room. One beside table in queen room. Clean, and good bathroom. Must only survive on proximity to airport. As for conference venue for more than day - forget it! No gym no WiFi. More

The Hotel served its purpose adequately. Its not a 'flashy' hotel however it was clean and rooms were comfortable. Staff at times did seem busy however when we had trouble working the air conditioning, they sent someone right over and when ordering room service they were always timely, and the food was fine. I was here for a conference, and... More
