Stayed here two nights with friends while traveling through Scotland. The only good thing I can think of to say is that the dining room staff were very friendly. Even remembering our friends tea choice - builders tea!! And the view from the dining room was lovely. When we arrived the manager was complaining about bookings, how busy they were...And... More

Having read the reviews we thought this would be a great place to eat, unfortunately it wasn't!!! When we arrived and went in the lady behind the reception rather rudely said " I'm too busy to help you go down there" and pointed down a corridor, we duly went down and the young waitress was much nicer and she welcomed... I would like to thank you for your review of the Loch Leven Hotel's food, sevice and decor. Because of your poor opinion of us we will benefit on two fronts, firstly,we will be quieter, which will allow us more time to better care for our guests and for those guests who do venture into our "awful" dining room, they... I recently stayed in the area and this hotel was recommended to me as having good quality food and they allowed my four legged friend in too. Everything I heard about this hotel was true. The food was delicious, the soup lovely and thick with lovely bread. Steak perfectly cooked. Guinness perfectly kept! Dogs allowed in the bar area -... More

In my opinion what makes the highlands so special isn't just the breathtaking scenery but the warm, generous and beautiful people. The landscape can sometimes look pretty barren and hostile but step indoors and you are greeted with such warmth, as we were when we visited Loch Leven hotel. We arrived late at night after driving in the dark and... More

My wife and I chose to have dinner at the Loch Leven Hotel after poor experience at the Ballachullish Hotel. The staff (especially Charlie the chef) could not have been more cheerful and helpful! We had such a good time over dinner that we returned next morning for breakfast. Next time we visit the area we WILL be staying at... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way to the Isle of Skye. The hotel had a nice view of the loch and the room was really cozy. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff were all very friendly. The only downside was that our room (I think it was Room 13) was right... More
