Clean and comfortable, family run hotel/pub. Doing their best to offer value for money in very difficult times and balance the books. Looking at some of the negative comments I would suggest that they make a rod for their own back as the photo's on the website make it look idyllic and amazing and the truth is it will always... There are several points you have made that I would like to take issue with but first of all thank you for appreciating our cleanliness and comfort and apologies for the room charge. When you booked the room, the girl you spoke to was unsure about single occupancy prices. All these prices have now been worked out and if you... More

Very nice stay, great views. Dined in the evening and the meal too was good. Didn't make breakfast as I was far to comfortable in bed! Fairly typical family run hotel, can see investment has been made but the odd thing where a bit of maintenance could be required. About 15 mins drive to Fort William. More

Thank you for your very positive comments. I do take your point about the maintenance, it is a never ending task. We keep ploughing back every penny we make but we have to make it to spend it! I was looking back at some old photographs of the hotel rooms and they looked unrecognisable. In one room for instance it... More

Booked this hotel on a `3 nights for the price of 2` deal that many hotels offer at this time of year. The hotel is well sign-posted, easy to find and is in a good location for exploring this beautiful part of the world. We stayed in room 12 (as requested) which was on the ground floor with it`s own... More

I do apologise most profusely if you felt that the last night of your short break was marred by my ineptitude. As I pointed out to you on that last evening, you had got the "B Team"! Our Front-of-House, James had his night off and you were left to the tender mercies of Cheryl and me. Cheryl works only one... More

The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect. Beautiful scenery day and night!! Perfect for walks along the shore. You couldn't fault the hotel in that aspect at all. We arrived on a Monday afternoon with our 2 dogs, the woman behind reception wasn't particularly bending over backwards to help, it possibly didn't help one of my dogs snapped at... More

Very incisive of you, yes it was the dogs that did it this trip. In the case of excitable dogs such as yours it would be a good idea to take your dogs for a long walk first then return them to your car then check where you are to be staying and what areas your dogs will be allowed... More

If you are lucky enough to get a holiday taking in the Scottish Highlands it will not be complete till you spend some nights in this great family run hotel. Ideal for Glencoe and Fort William the fantastic loch-side situation makes this my favourite Scottish hotel! On my last trip I spent three nights here in my favourite room (number... More

Arrived in typical Scottish weather, great homely accommodation, complete with lovely Kelpie to greet the guests. Quiet location, nicely situated for a loop drive around Linlochleven. Not fancy, but not expensive either. Recommended More

My wife and I had a one night stopover and it was absolutely fantastic. Apart from the setting which is worth 5 stars alone, the hospitality, welcome and friendliness provided by Hilary, John and staff was magnificent. The room was spotless and warm, and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel offers character with lots of history and charm, and... More
