We always stay here when we come to Banchory. Raemoir House Hotel is a lovely old house in beautiful surroundings. We have two nights here in September to get away from it all and although we enjoyed it as ever, there were a few niggles which (only slightly!) marred our visit. The dining room has been moved to the back... more

Just getting round to writing review since March! Better late than never! Been going to Raemoir for about 10 years now, sometimes around March and/or October. Our trip this year in March will be our last though. We were extremely disappointed with the food, obviously the hotel are cutting back on cuts of meat and choices in menu. The food... more

We were travelling around Scotland in August, having decided to only book our first hotel... big mistake, as we found ourselves at 4.30pm on a wet afternoon without a place to stay. The tourist information centre recomended The Raemoir House Hotel. WELL I can only reitorate what the last review says. We loved it so much we booked again to... more

I've been wanting to visit this hotel for some time now and I recently had the chance to enjoy an overnight stay at this magnificent old house. The service from when we arrived to our departure was outstanding. From the bottle of chilled champagne waiting in our enormous room on arrival to the manager remembering my name when directing me... more

We loved this place! Yes, it is old and tattered in places, though they explained that it is listed on the historic places list, which not only means restrictions on remodeling outside but inside as well. If they do any repairs inside or out, it has to be done in the way it was originally constructed or installed and has... more

we stayed for one night for my husbands birthday. We only live about 30 mins drive from this hotel but had heard that the food was good and thought we would stay so we didn't have to drive or bother with taxi's. Our room was not unpleasant but not to our taste, old fashioned, which I appreciate is in keeping... more

This place has been taken over since our last visit but it was good to see the reasons we liked it in the first place haven't changed. The rooms are individual and cosy. There's no boutique furniture here, just simple, solid antique pieces, with a few scuff marks in the carpets and old fabrics. But that is all part of... more

We stayed at the Raemoir for one night only, we had a reduced rate as it was a late booking. The staff were superb, Romy on reception was a delight and so helpful and kind, all the staff were brilliant. The room was clean and comfortable, although my partners side of the bed was a bit marschmellowy compared to mine... more

My to be wife and I decided to use the hotel as the accommodation venue for our wedding. The range of requirements from family and friends was varied, from family members with small children, to old aged codgers - and of course the honeymooners - aka us! The hotel ably dealt with all our requirements. The members of our party... more
