If you haven't been shame on you! This is the best b&b pub restaraunt in the peaks by a country mile. The hosts Carolyn and Adrian are like family freinds to us now most welcoming after a long drive. You will not get any better food than the oven bottom lamb. or the roast pork, I can't tell you about... More

What a find - great location, excellent rooms, fab food, and amazing hosts, Adrian and Carolyn. We were welcomed by Adrian and then shown to the Derby room which was extremely well decorated with charming furniture. We sampled the complimentary Sherry whilst unpacking and then made our way down to the bar for a drink by the coal fire. New... More

After a nice journey through the partially flooded roads of the Macclesfield Forest, arriving at The Stanley Arms was something of a relief. This is half way between Macclesfield and Buxton, on the edge of the forest. The location is stunning, and the pub can best be described as remote. Walking into the bar area to the scent of an... We booked a 3 for 2 night offer staying from Sunday to Wednesday in the Clough Room. The room is fantastic with great views, excellent decor and a great size. Adrian and Carolyn make you feel very welcome and we shared in the celebration of City beating Utd on the first night with a free glass of bubbly. We really... More

We were 2 couples from Coventry on a 2 night break to walk in the Peak District, and what an excellent choice this place turned out to be. Just could not fault it. On our arrival to check in, the huge coal fire in the lounge was very welcome. Our lovely warm rooms were called 'The Bottle Store' and 'Chapel... More

We booked online for one night as we were up at first light for a photo shoot in the area. The food is excellent, the proprietors and their staff are very welcoming and the room was excellent with a very comfy bed. Excellent value for money, highly recommended. More

Stayed for one night dinner b&b. We'll be back! Cosy, warm and a genuine welcome. Evening meal fantastic. Huge portions - and the best pork belly ever with fantastic crackling. Adrian front of house and Carolyn in the kitchen. A perfect combination to care for you. More

A comfortable, welcoming Inn in a lovely area. Well appointed comfortable rooms though compact, well equipped and with a welcoming glass of sherry! Food generally was good, and the Bottom of the Oven Lamb, their speciality, exceptionally good and veggies were beautifully cooked. Portions were so generous we weren't able to tackle a pudding unfortunately. Real ales were Marstons and... More
