I've stayed here on my last three visits to Northern Ireland and can't praise it enough. Beautiful, peaceful location with views over Ballyholme bay, yet handy for the excellent pubs and restaurants in Bangor or a short train journey into the heart of Belfast or beyond. Each time I've stayed in a different room each uniquely styled with bespoke furnishing... More

Wow, this place is somewhere we will definitely be going back to - we didn't want to leave! As soon as you arrive, you are made to feel really welcome and it almost feels like you are staying with a good family friend. You are free to come and go as you please and the friendly owners are always chatty.... More

Friendly and welcoming place, in an ideal situation with beautiful views. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and attractively decorated with fantastic views of the sea. Easy walking distance to the centre of Bangor whilst being in a quiet spot for an excellent night's rest. Chris & Jenny were friendly, efficient and made our stay memorable. Lovely breakfast ( do... We stayed for 3 nights in this charming B&B, based on the previous tripadvisor reviews. It's every bit as good as we hoped for, exceeding our expectations at times even. Chris and Jenny excel at making you feel at home within minutes and by the end of our stay we felt so relaxed it easily could have been weeks of... More

I'm not often moved to leave reviews on Trip Advisor (in fact so far have only left one and it was to complain!!) but just had to publicly say thank you to Chris and Jenny! I strongly recommend that if you are in Bangor you find your way hear if you can. We had mother's day breakfast here and it... More

What a great find! We stayed with Chris and Jenny on a trip home from Scotland to visit family. From our arrival to departure we had such a good time. A warm welcome on arrival and we were taken to a lovely room overlooking Ballyolme Bay. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Treats in the room included... More

We have stayed at The Cairn Bay Lodge twice in the past 9 months. Considering we only live 15 miles away I think that says a lot. The home is beautiful both inside and out, it is spotlessly clean, it is full of really interesting items and has the most idyllic views, The food is so good that my kids... More

Chris and Jenny Mullen run an outstanding B&B. Rooms are great, food is excellent, location ideal, and attention to guests most appreciated. It is worth including in one's planning when visiting that area. Traveling extensively on business, it is a welcome respite in the hassle of travel. Highly recommended. More
