Excellent B&B. stayed for 4 weeks, the rooms are very spacious very clean and very comfortable. the breakfast is lovely and usually served up within a few short minutes. I highly recommend this establishment and will be back, one of the best B&Bs I've stayed in.

Spent only one night at Altonlea Lodge but everything was really excellent. A nice friendly, homely place and my sister and I were very impressed with the service. We would certainly like to come back and spend a few days. The breakfast was excellent, the best I have ever had in a Guest House or Hotel. I thoroughly recommend it.

I stayed at Altonlea which is in a cul-de-sac facing the north sea, for 2 nights. I was made to feel very welcome by Lee who runs the place along with his Mum Olwen the facilities were spotless and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this little gem.

This is a gem of a guesthouse. They have such a perfect sense of guest relations mentality, it creates an exceptionally rare experience for the visitors. I will spare you all the details and just say this: This is a family owned hotel and they take care of you in a way only your family would do.

This is an excellent B&B. We have been looking for a decent place to stay in Hartlepool for 11 years and have finally found one. Exemplary in all aspects and very friendly. We have no criticisms of this establishment
