Stayed at the Beansheaf for 3 nights whilst on business in the area. I arrived at about 8.30pm to check in, and despite the restaurant having stopped serving food for 30 mins, they were more than happy to cook me a meal! I'd booked a single en-suite room, which was fairly small but functional. The bathroom was rather on the... More

I stayed here with my daughter as we were going to flamingoland the next day. My daughter loved the origami towels left on her bed and the free J20 is a nice touch for kids. Young lady on reception was extremely polite, welcoming and friendly. Room was nice and comfy and nice and clean, as too the bathroom. Only complaint... More

Six of us had a meal here, to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday. The resturant is very nicely decorated, quite trendy to be fair, but keeps it's country charm with the log fire buring away in the corner. It was a Sunday evening, and we were pretty much the only people in the resturant. The service was friendly and attentive,... More

We went there with our friends for the weekend. Room was very nice, with small touches (chocolate, J2o drinks) and comfy bed. Bathroom was ok, not great - a bit dank and very small. Still very clean and with nice, soft towels. Pub and restaurant in hotel are very nice as well, we ate our dinners there and I must... More

I recently attended a friends wedding at the Beansheaf. Food: Food was very tasty and a good variety. Soup to start was very good and a selection of bread rolls were already plated at our tables. I do think it would be better for them to be served once all the guests/diners had sat down allowing them to choose different... More

Staff very welcoming, room was bland but hospitality J2O & chocolates helped. Had an evening meal and it was vey good, and reasonable priced. I thought the room was very good value @ 68.00, without breakfast, which we did in fact give a miss as we were still full from the previous evening meal. Be aware this hotel is on... More

To start with, there was a problem with the first night of our booking as the booking agent (not the hotel) had over allocated so there was no room for us. The people at The Beansheaf couldn't have been more helpful in getting the problem sorted. Dan phoned the agent straight away and ensured we had an alternative place to... More

My husband and I booked the Beansheaf for our wedding reception in 2010. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and the food was sensational. Every guest commented on how good the food was at the time and after the event. Dan, the hotel owner was brilliant, he was very flexible and we were able to have everything... More
