We picked Ashfield House from the internet for a 2 night break. It looked really good on their website and did not disappoint in real life. We had a lovely warm welcome from Debbie and sat down to tea, coffee and lemon drizzle cake, wonderful. The bedrooms are first class with everything you could hope for. Large comfy bed, tv,... More

This is a superb B and B in a new house, with fantastic furnishings and facilities, and loads of space. About five minutes easy walk from Pickering centre, it is in an ideal location because there is absolutely no traffic noise. The highlight for us was the extensive lounge/ conservatory area where we could spend any time of day...and which... More

We were impressed at the outset with Debbie's warm welcome with tea and excellent home made lemon drizzle cake to the outstanding room accomodation and guest lounges. Debbie pulled out all the stops to make sure there were vegan options for me at breakfast...and what a breakfast! Cereals, fruits, yogurts, all kinds of cooked foods, whilst watching the wildlife and Zelda the cat in the garden. The house is gorgeous, and extremely comfortable. After returning from long days out (it was rather bracing!), it was great to... More

We were looking for a base from which to explore the area -- bird watching, walks, good meals, for example, along with getting to know about small local villages -- and Ashfield House was ideal. We especially enjoyed the show that the garden birds put on every morning while we ate breakfast, as the dining area is surrounded by windows.... More
