Very pleasant 1 night stay. Rooms old fashioned yes, but very comfortable bed, crisp sheets, very warm and surprising little touches like sweets, tissues, sewing kit and bath robes provided in the room. Bathroom dated, but spacious and clean, over the bath shower perfectly adequate and plenty of good quality towels and toiletries. An iron and ironing board was available... More

This is lovely hotel in the centre of Pickering so really handy for town and amenities. We had room 11 on the topmost floor,a family room, for myself,my husband and our almost 3 year old daughter. I was initially impressed with the childrens single bed in its own little area with childrens themed pictures on the wall, and it was even made... More

We stayed here with friends at short notice and were pleased to have booked three rooms at the same place. We found the bathrooms very clean and bathrobes were provided. The mattresses were comfy and the bedding was clean and fresh. The owner had very kindly knocked some money off the price as it was a multi-booking. However, our booking was... More

We were extremely disappointed with this hotel. The central location caused it to be horribly noisy with people yelling out in the street until very late at night. The overall impression was of tired shabby decor and overpriced rooms and the showering facilities were inadequate. The hospitality tray was poor and left much to be desired. The breakfast buffet looked... More

This was, for the price, ninety pound a night, overpriced. The couple who ran it where freindly and welcoming but the place itself was very disapointing. We asked for a double but got two single beds pushed together. The beds themselves where very lumpy. The bathroom itself was ok if a bit cramped. The shower gel was in a bottle... More

Very warm welcome, offered hot drinks on arrival, good attention to detail: bathrobes, home made cookies, sweets, nice clean bedding, en suit was lovely and large. Breakfast was very enjoyable and had lots of choice. it's on a main road so there is traffic noise but soon got used to it. I highly recommend this hotel and would definately stay again,... More

I was staying with a relative in Pickering but had booked in to the Hotel for Sunday Lunch. I have rarely had such a Sunday lunch. We were personally greeted on arrival and given a table in the small lounge. We ordered drinks and were able to look at the menu at our leisure. The drinks arrived and our order... More

Reception warm and friendly. The attention we had throughout was just what we needed - there when necessary and otherwise unobtrusive. Room very comfortable with all we could have wished for. Breakfast could be a blow-out (which we could not have faced) or selections could be made. Pauline was very accommodating to my wife's preferences and I could not resist... More
