We were having a family lunch in Southport and a couple of family members wanted to stay overnight. My husband and myself stayed Saturday evening at the Ivydene guest house. Were welcomed in by the owners and shown our room on the ground floor. Heating could be turned on or off, large shower, very comfortable bed, everything we wanted. Fantastic nightlife bars/clubs. “Ok but for four star was a little disappointed”

Greeting on arrival was pleasant. Room was a little tired and basic. Attention to detail with cleanliness wasn't really to my personal liking. Nice shower and towels clean and fluffy. Breakfast was good although all items appeared to be budget and the dining room appeared to close right on time! Basic B & B -no frills More

stayed at the ivydene for one night lovely place. Close to all ameneties excellent breakfast and we were fortunate enough to have fantastic weather. Will stay again when we are next in the area More

The owner was friendly, the room was a good size, and well decorated, (on the ground floor), it had a shower, and had a flatscreen tv on the wall. I have no idea what this guest is referring to with regard to being rude, accusational and judgemental. This I am not. When guests make a booking, 99% either book online or have made reference to our website and prefer to telephone their booking. They provide credit card information to secure the booking. “Ideal Accommodation”

We were only staying for two nights and the accommodation was ideal. The room was quite spacious and clean. Food was fantastic as were the hosts. We really enjoyed our stay, wished it had been a longer visit. Look forward to staying at Ivydene again in the future. More
