The location is lovely and it is an easy walk into town. The building is beautiful, but the rooms could do with a bit of modernisation. Breakfast very good. Ample parking. The owners were fantastic; nothing was too much trouble (inc washing our baby bottles) and made the stay very pleasant. Would defo go again. more
We stayed at the Laston House for a short break. Good location and a pleasant walk down to the harbour (and a harder walk back up, but then Ilfracombe is very hilly!). Just had 4 lovely relaxing nights at Laston House .The staff were very very friendly and helpfull .the hotel is situated perfectly and the food is gorgeous.Will be going back , strongly recommend. more

Expectations were set upon the prompt receipt of a welcome letter through the post having booked indirectly online. We enjoyed a one night stay in the Nursery suite with our two boys. We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now. It is very clean and they allow pets, which is great. The mother and husband are very friendly (i don't know why someone said they were rude!) and helpful. The husband cooks the breakfasts which are excellent. There's a traditional thatched pub next door which is a bonus too.... more
