We arrived in Ilfracombe without a reservation and chanced upon Acorn Lodge, it was a lucky break. The landlady is very welcoming, friendly and professional. The rooms are a little old fashioned but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is first rate. Free wi-fi cover. A parking pass so no need to pay car parking charges. An excellent location. We... Lovely room - large and clean - and very understanding owners, who were patient with my flustered phone calls and ultimate lateness (lost my car keys and ended up arriving about 1 in the morning). Very handy location for anyone going to Lundy (only 1 minute from the harbour), apparently there is also free parking at Acorn Lodge for day-trippers... More

We stopped at the Acorn Lodge on the spur of the moment, and couldn't believe our luck. The room we stayed in was light and airy, with a perfectly acceptable en-suite (Very good value for money). One of my favourite features was that we had proper mugs in the room for our tea and coffee. It is situated about 3... More
