Catherine and Rosemary's warm welcome was the most important aspect of our stay at Glenshieling House. It is a beautiful house in a beautiful area, and our family room (2 parents plus an 11-year-old child) was perfect: it was spacious, with an ensuite shower room that was also large, and it had a great view out over the garden and to a pretty tower beyond. In the morning the birds were singing, and the breakfast was super. We particularly loved the home-made raspberry jam.

We hope we can go back sometime, and would recommend this to anyone. A couple was celebrating their wedding anniversary the same weekend we were there, and Catherine and Rosemary had decorated their breakfast table beautifully.

Blairgowrie is close to many interesting places: Perth to the south, the Glens of Angus to the East, Braemar to the North. We went on to spend a good part of our day at Glamis Castle, a short drive away from Blairgowrie, and that was fun. more
