My wife and I stayed at the lodge last month and words can't begin to describe how great this trip was. Next to an African safari you won't find any area in the world with as much biological diversity as Yuyak Bay and the treats that lie within it and on its shores. Highlights included: being totally disconnected from cell... More

This is our 12th year visiting Steele and the hardest part of the trip is leaving. We caught lots of halibut, some kings, spent time watching the weather change right outside the window, ate great food and generally unwound and rejuvenated. This year was a bit more laid back than in other years. The fishing was great as usual but... More

Just got back from our trip and had a great time. My wife selected this location to celbrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our best friends from Colorado. Fishing every day, crabbing, and bear viewing. We had it all. Crab on the table 2 hours after they were pulled from the pot. Now that is fresh. Steele knows the area... More

Leaving Kodiak and Steele was one of the hardest things my family has had to do! We had a life changing experience. We brought our two children, ages 8 and 10, and it was the trip of a lifetime. Steele was an amazing guide. What he knows about the Alaska wildlife is astounding. We spent time fishing, crabbing, bear viewing,... More

We had an amazing time with Steele on our trip. Definitely an Alaska experience, comfortable settings, personalized attention, amazing scenery, hands down one of the best trips ever taken. From the fishing and crabbing available, to the scenery coupled with Steele's knowledge of the area you will have a superb experience.

I've been to Spirit of Alaska several times, the 1st was in 1998. Each time has been a unique experience, but especially this last year when we returned as a family of 5. We had the best family vacation we could dream of. Two adults and three children, ages 16, 14 and 12--all unplugged and enjoying every minute of the... More

This is what an Alaskan adventure should be. Down to earth owner, Steele Davis, great fishing, and excellent bear viewing. Steele is great with his knowledge of all birds in the bay, and there is many species. Did I mention the Kayaking? Awesome. The view from the bunk house is Alaska, breath taking. You will never get tried of view,... More
