this hotel has completely missed the point of Groupon unless of course they generally just don't care - that's the impression we came away with anyway. the point of Groupon I would have thought is to get customers into your establishment and impress them sufficiently so that they will return to sample your delights at the full price. we greeted... On checking trip advisor I saw mixed reviews from poor to good. As a seaside destination I wasn't expending excellence so I gave it a go. On approaching the Windsor it looked to be well kept - particularly when compared to surrounding hotels. The foyay is nicely decorated an modern. So far, so good. On check in I was asked... More

We only stayed one night and the location is very close to the beach- just 5 minutes away. South parade is a big bar area on Saturday nights-it was all quiet on a Sunday though. Hotel a bit jaded - peeling wall paper, frayed edged to the bed cover. It was quite cheap in Jan through laterooms- £55 (exc breakfast)... More

I stayed here on business in January 2012 for one night. The hotel is located near the sea front in Whitley Bay and was very handy for my meeting at Cobalt Business Park and is about 15 minutes drive or 20 minutes on the train from Newcastle city centre and handy for the East Coast etc. The hotel itself is... We visited Whitley Bay for a family occasion and needed a hotel for an overnight stay. The hotel itself is surrounded by hotels, clubs and bars but on a Sunday night was very quiet. It offers secure parking which is at the back of the hotel. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly young man who also doubled... More

I recently stopped at this hotel on business, i live in northumberland so I was fairly familiar with the area the hotel itself if in a nice location on the coastline. I arrived by car and parked in there secure car park which is at the back end of the hotel, on a weekend the area does open as a... More

I had to score this 1 out of 5. I would prefer an extra zero point, as 1 is too generous. My wife and I were on a tour and booked this hotel via a late booking site. The advertising suggested that this was a liitle different and worth a little extra so I booked. I cannot recall when we... More

Final stop of our Coast 2 Coast trip. I was a bit horrified when I rode up the street in a torrential downpour and saw that it was on a hen and stag night street. Worries aside the room was on the back of the hotel and I heard absolutely nothing. They looked after our bikes in a room somewhere... More

Took advantage of a Groupon offer of afternoon tea for two in my home town and was not disappointed. Masses of food, variety of teas (or coffee), choice of cocktails (alcoholic of non). Have never had so much choice at such a meal - egg mayo, cheese savoury, ham and pickle, ham sandwiches in brown and white breads plus warm... More
