The Swiss Cottage Hotel in Shanklin is a real gem. The owners obviously work hard to make their B&B comfortable. We stayed in an adjoining family room; one was en-suite, the other with two double beds and a hall bath.

Both rooms had recently been redecorated and both bathrooms had recently been redone. The rooms are clean, new and nice. The bathrooms are some of the nicest I've seen in my European travels.

The price was the same as other comparable b&b's in the area and the owners nicely accommodated our need to stay only one night.

The breakfast was nice with a cereal and fruit course then a choice of kippers, full english or lighter fare.

I highly recommend this as a choice for Shanklin accommodation. more
