We have just came back from a 2 nights stay in The Finches. What a great experience. The moment we stepped through the door, she made us feel welcomed and just feels like home. When we arrived, she offered us cakes and coffee/tea and whilst we were eating (which was delicious), she gave us pamphlets and showed us the different... More

This is a great B & B in terms o f location, service and amenities in Shanklin. My wife and I got a double ensuite room - there are only two rooms in the place so booking in advance is recommended. Our room was clean, big and brightly lit. The ensuite bathroom is also big with a bath and shower.... More

We have just returned from a stay at the Finches IOW where we were made so welcome by Sally and her husband. The room was beautifully done throughout with a huge bed. . . nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was absolutely gorgeous. We would recommend The Finches to anyone and thank you to you both for such... More

Fantastic location, close to beach and town. The room was clean and bright, the bathroom was well stocked with shower gel, bubble bath, body lotion. The bed was so comfortable, best nights sleep in a long time. Breakfast was generous and scrumey. A fresh bottle of water each was put in our room every day which was a lovely and... More

This is a very good bed and breakfast. Room comfortable and spacious, breakfasts were generous and delicious. The location is good, short walk to village and seafront. Even when tv went wrong in our room, Sally and her son Kieran did their best to put it right and when they couldn't, provided us with a spare. One slight quibble, the discount... More

Little things mean a lot, from homemade cake on our arrival to fresh milk for tea and coffee at anytime of the day. Sally our host was knowledgeable and actually enjoys being the host and it shows in all she does whether its food, comfort, or hidden coves to make our stay the best. Will we go back, you bet!

From the moment Sally welcomed us with tea and her delicious homemade cake to the time we said a fond farewell, eveything was virtually perfect. The accommodation is extremely clean and everyone was very welcoming. The added bonus to the great accommodation was the fantastic breakfast!

We have just spent a wonderful weeks holiday at the Finches. The room we had was large, bright and airy and the en-suite bathroom had a seperate bath and shower. Everything was spotlessly clean, crisp bedding and soft large towels. The bathroom also had lovely full size bottles of bubble bath, shower gell, hand wash, shampoo and body lotion a... More

Well what can we say, The Finches was just perfect. Sally and Mike gave us a very welcome, tea and homemade cake! The Finches is very homely and comfortable, just as a B&B should be. The rooms were very clean and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was great, hot and cooked to order. Would definately recommend The Finches to anyone and would... More
