Have been going to The Channel View hotel since 2002. Tom and Jenny are very friendly and welcome you with a pot of tea or coffee. The rooms are spotlessly clean and there are only 22 wide stairs to climb to get to the third floor with your luggage. There is no entertainment but the other guests are so friendly... More

after hauling our luggage up 4 flights of very narrow stairs we were less than impressed with the quality of the room allocated The matress onthe bed was most uncomfortable and the antiquated shower was very clausrophobic and barely gave enough water to have a proper shower and our towels were not changed daily badly in need of a redecoration... Wonderful place, lovely food, cheap bar, nothing was too much trouble for Tom and Jenny the owners. Have already booked for next year.
