We paid £240.00 the weekend rate and I think it is over priced this is why: the toliet seat was broken and very difficult to open, the shower cubicle was cracked the jets, steam, radio and massage functions were all broken, which meant only the shower worked but only for a few minutes as the tray was over flowing. I...

Stayed one night at Gadds Town House in the Edwardian Express room, which was lovely, quirky and really comfy bed! The hotel is refreshingly different and works really well as a special occasion / treat. The prices can be a little high for a night accommodation, but you have to think you won't get this specialist hotel in many places....

We stayed at the gadds town house on Saturday night. It was a last minute type thing. Very expensive at £220 per night but as it was our first time away since becoming parents we decided to treat ourselves. The hotel is very opulent on arrival with the boutique feel and very dimly lit. The receptionist was lovely and showed...

Stayed in Le Jardin for 2 nights in March as birthday treat. I wanted a room with outside hot tub, with good views, peace and quiet. This is what we got. Bed was comfy, slept really well, bed linen could have done with being ironed as it looked like it had come stright out of tumble dryer and was extemely...

We managed to sneek a night away over easter, and had heard great reviews about Gadds town house. Durham is a fantastic place with something for everyone, and Gadds town house is ideally located to explore the city.
We were told the hotel has been recently renovated and you can see it is finished to a high standard with plush...

A really original hotel with many different themed rooms. Slightly over the top, it describes itself as a Restaurant with rooms. Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the whole experience. 2 dinners provided excellent food and a wide choice and wonderful breakfasts. Staff very helpful and friendly We were in the cruise room so a nautical theme - very comfortable bed,...

Gadds Town House is a lovely hotel, tastefully decorated, friendly staff and their rooms are amazing (particularly Le Jardin). We could only afford to stay one night but will definitely be returning in the future. We stayed in Le Jardin which is separate to the main hotel in chalets in the garden, I loved this as it made our stay...
