The property is set in 80 acres of organic North Devon farmland, set to pasture & grazed by sheep, cattle & llamas. The accommodation is of a very high standard with lots of lovely touches e.g. fresh flowers, fresh milk, wine glasses & home-baked biscuits all provided in the rooms, white towelling robes in the bathroom. We had a large... More

Martin the farmer welcomed my daughter and i with cream teas after a long journey. The farmhouse was beautiful. Our room was amazing, spacious, and peaceful. We had luxury named products in our en suite bathroom, shower gel, handwash and shampoo. We had soft cuddly dressing gowns and white fluffy towels. Bowden farm gave us the best breakfast we have... This is a lovely bed and breakfast. On arrival we had a cream tea which was lovely, as was breakfast the next morning. Our hosts were very unintrusive and didn't make us feel at all awkward. Our room was spacious and the extra touches, such as fresh milk, wine glasses, heated towels were very nice. Our daughter (age 2) had... More

We stayed here fore 3 nights and had a lovely time. The house / rooms / garden & location were absolutely stunning. Every thing was very clean and comfortable (the bed espcially). The breakfast and homemade afternoon teas were wonderful and delicious. It is a bit isolated so you would definitely need a car. More

All the good things everybody else has said are true. Nice rooms, okay shower, lovely breakfast etc. It's in the middle of nowhere so you need your car at all times. One small point spoilt things a bit. We stayed for 3 nights and on the first morning left our towels on the floor as it seemed the best place... More

A lovely tranquil B&B. Excellent accommodation, breakfast and hospitality. The Old Custom House (JamesDuckett) in Barnstaple is an excellent choice for dinner. More

A perfect country getaway in a beautiful area. We were out exploring the local area all day, but we could easily have spent all day on the farm! It was lambing season - fabulous to get in with the lambs. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the walks on the farm and look out for the deer.... More

Our hosts, Martin and Gill were welcoming and helpful but non-intrusive. We were offered a large bedroom with 4-poster bed, tv, fridge, teamaking facilities (all sorts of teas provided), cafetiere with fresh coffee, hot chocolate and THE most delicious home made biscuits. We also had use of a large and very comfortable lounge. The breakfasts are just wonderful - a... More

We received a very warm welcome at this beautiful, tastefully furnished farmhouse. Our bedroom was warm and cosy and very comfortably accommodated our 2 children and it had a generously sized en suite bathroom. The guest lounge was very inviting with a beautiful inglenook fireplace. The breakfast was superb and I can highly recommed the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.... More
