We stayed in the disabled room and wondered if it was generally overlooked for usage, It was really depressing, the walls are dirty the light switches dirty, even the one spare pillow was dirty, the other pillows were flaccid lumps of smelly flat foam, the towels smelly, smelly is all I can describe it as, the room smelt of air... We just returned form staying there for 4 nights for just a wee break in the West Lake District. We paid £19.50 per night, so 4 nights for £78 is not bad going. You know what you're getting with Travelodge. A decent sized room, a decent bed and clean. They don't appear to have on-site maintenance as both the lights... More

Booked this in February for a 1 night stay for £22 for a family room, we were visiting family in Walney Island and was located locally to them. Rang direct the day before to request extra duvets to soften mattress and was told they would write it in diary. Checked in at 4pm and was given card key to room... More

We stayed here whilst visiting family, there is a lack of good hotels in the area. The room was quite grim, walls were grubby, the lamp shades were dirty and the sofa bed was filthy. It would really benefit from a lick of paint and a deep clean. More

It's a Travelodge so providing you know what to expect from one - clean, basic, functional - you won't be disappointed. My room was was quiet, warm and clean and my interactions with the staff were all positive. Good location on the edge of the town and ideal for a business/short stay. More

Finding budget accommodation for a family of 5 can be a challenge and staying with Travelodge with three kids requires two rooms, or so we thought, until a chance conversation revealed they will allow more than two children per room if the third doesn't mind sleeping on the floor. The brand is consistent in their standards - generally clean with... More

We stayed at this travellodge for two nights over the New Year. The staff were friendly very helpful. The description tells you that the hotel is located in an Industrial Estate so no one should be shocked by this! the room was clean, warm and the water hot, just what you want from a budget hotel. The only complaint if... More

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I am a hotel maintenance manager and believe me I have seen some bad hotels but this one beats them all hands down. The bathroom had cobwebs and the mattress on the bed reminded me of one of those you used to see that had been burned on... More

Stayed at the travelodge in Barrow recently, and was very disappointed with the whole place. The room was cold, very little wardrobe space with only 2 coat hangers disgraceful! A good sized bed but very little bedding, no bath either. Set in the middle of nowhere with only a pizza parlour, Asda or similar to eat and drink. No wonder... More
