We enjoyed our stay at this Travelodge. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. It was great value for money. We even had a view onto a small lake with swans, herons and other wildlife. Picture a plain, drab, red brick Travelodge located in the middle of a patch of waste land with the closest amenities being a Domino's Pizza (the smallest Domino's in the UK)... oh yes there is an ASDA with a cafe about 15 minutes walk away. Had a one-night stay here. Upon arrival I was greeted by a rude receptionist where everything seemed too difficult. Got to the room which for the money was adequate, and that's all really. There is no bar at the hotel. There is a pub about a 5-10 min walk away. There's an ASDA over the road so get breakfast there.... more

Inside the hotel is as expected. Clean, functional rooms. Its quiet, there is no external noise despite being beside the main road into Barrow. Good selection of Freeview channels for a change. The location is a bit rubbish. The nearest place for breakfast is Asda over the road, you have to drive to get a beer or an evening meal.... more
