I booked a stay for 2 nights at the Graythwaite based on the previous reviews. I was in Newcastle to visit my son who was in hospital. The process of booking was faultless, they were helpful in holding an option on the room for a 2nd night for me until i could confirm the day before i travelled. The property... More

This was our second visit here and there is no place else that I would stay in the Newcastle area. Hazel and John make you feel as though you are enjoying the comforts of your own home. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is beyond compare. We would go out of our way to stay here again.... More

We stayed three nights and enjoyed every minute. Hazel was most helpful in directions and information about the potteries to utlise our time efficently as this was the purpose of our visit. Breakfast was beautifully served and a welcoming cup of tea and cake was most enjoyable. The room was very clean and delightfully furnished. Wi-Fi was fine in the... More

We stayed here as a family for 1 night. We received a very warm welcome. The rooms were luxurious and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The house was very cosy and warm. The breakfast was extra special. Lots of choice and everything home made. If we ever happen to be in this area... More

Graythwaite is a huge town house, which I would guess dates from the late 19th or early 20th Century. As a result all of the rooms are impressive, with very high ceilings. There are lovely fireplaces in many rooms. The room itself is perhaps only 4.5 stars. Beautifully decorated, lovely high ceilings, comfortable bed and very quiet, but the bathroom... More

We stayed here for a weekend, whilst visiting my husband who was in the area on business and was staying here for a few weeks. I can only rate The Graythwaite as excellent. Traveling with children is always challenging, but if everywhere were as accommodating as The Graythwaite, life would be much easier. Warmth, comfort, and the best breakfast outside... More

You just won't better this accommodation and service. I have stayed many times. This was a very late arrival, but keys were left for me in a pre arranged location. An early departure before breakfast and I was presented with a fantastic breakfast box the evening before. The breakfasts are truly amazing, thanks John. Service is faultless, and the whole... More

I stayed in the Graythwaite Guest House recently and I would highly recommend it. Hazel met me with a very warm welcome. The house is lovely and her breakfasts are excellent, with added extras like home made preserves, fruit and delicious breads. Hazel was very informative about the local area and she went to alot of extra trouble in helping me... More
