Ok based upon a second visit for 3 nights: None on suite family room this time. Bigger than on suite and bigger TV. I preferred it as bathrooms so close. A bit noisier but not bad at all. Great location for price as a 20 minute scenic walk into Weymouth. Breakfast good for continental but plastic croissants. Good hot drink... More

The food is excellent value and beautiful presented lovely and tasty and perfectly cooked. Shame about the bloke on the phone in the restaurant though! And only ordinary coffee no decaff or specialised coffees but fully recommend it Don't know anything about the bar or accomodation though Will definitely go again!

We stayed for 3 nights at beginning of February. You enter hotel via a pub, which was cool as we were gasping after the journey.checked in and was taken around the back of a Thai restaurant, passed the kitchen and up a flight of stairs to room 3. The room was large and bright. Had ensuite which was very good.... More

We've stayed in this hotel twice now and will again! We found the staff both friendly and helpful, the room was spacious comfortable and warm, and it really did provide us with a base for our stay in Weymouth at a very reasonable price.

The Old Castle does not pretend to be The Ritz, and why should it. We arrived in Weymouth a bit earlier than expected but this was no problem as our room was ready at 12,15. The room itself (room 2) was clean and the two twin beds very comfortable. After a sally round the harbour and a few drinks, we... More

I stayed here with my young daughter as a precursor to visiting Charmouth. The accommodation is located within a pub come restaurant serving Thai Food. The staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them, the continental breakfast was simple but sufficient. There is ample free parking on the roads adjacent to the accommodation. 24 hour access... More

The ;hotel self-rates as 2 star but the generosity of management and the friendliness of the staff made the stay much more enjoyable than we have had at many 4 star hotels. We are both 70 yr olds who were travelling with two grandchildren aged 5yrs and 7yrs. The family room (4) proved ideal.

Stayed in a family room (room 4) for just the one night, situated just a couple of minutes walk from Sandsfoot Castle (hence the name I guess!) and a nice little sandy beach which most tourists would miss. Its a little walk down the hill into town from here - but not too far, plus the Nothe Fort is also... More

Room 3, in the circular "Tower" so a bit quirky. Large room, decent shower, really quiet street and comfy bed. Was handy to where we needed to be for a family wedding in Wyke Regis, and proved a decent spot. The staff were very very friendly providing us with iron and ironing board and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work.... More
