All in all, we had a lovely short stay here with our three year old. Location is great, very near but not on the seafront. As another contributor says there is a lot of street noise overnight if you end up in a room overlooking the road - traffic and revellers long into the night. Free parking in the building... More

Michael the owner very friendly but run off his feet. He owns this and The Letterbox across the road so spends his time juggling between the two which doesn't always go according to plan. From the outside it doesn't look 5 star - needs painting and smartening up - once inside very good - not immaculate. Our room was on... More

We were a bit concerned having read other reports but were pleasantly surprised. Michael the proprietor was charming and couldn't have been more helpfull. The free car park was also a real bonus as it's very difficult to park in the centre of Weymouth. We stayed in the penthouse suite which has king size bed and stunning bathroom. The whole... More

Arrived at hotel and were not expected. Had to call mobile number to be let in. Bin had not been cleared out. Very small en-suite to double room.Felt very rushed at breakfast as x1 staff complaining about huge work load. Only cash accepted and no receipt offered or received. Only positive aspects of stay was very warm welcome by Alex... More

The actual room was nice, but too expensive for what it was. and at £165 a night I expected much more. We stayed for two nights but had to make up our own room in between - no one came in to make our bed etc. Breakfast was a let-down - cheap ingredients and not very good cereals for adults.... More

Upmarket B&B in central location - good size rooms and relaxed atmosphere. Perhaps too relaxed for over £100 per night, so dont expect a great level of service. A couple of examples email one person for booking but another to check availablitiy, you have to call them back for updates when they should be calling you at that nightly rate.... More

The bakehouse is a very nice guest house. It is clean and very nicely furnished. However, it is not worth the cost per night, especially when compared to other places in Weymouth. It is by far one of the most expensive places in Weymouth- but is not one of the nicest. Internet is not avaliable- despite being advertised. The bathrooms... More

This is a fantastic, immaculate B&B. Hosts, Penny & Michael extremely welcoming and have really picked up on what is expected for a home from home atmosphere. We felt like long lost friends rather than guests. The place has been completely refurbushed and is clean and warm, furnished in creams and whites throughout. Complimentary drinks and fruit are available every... More
