One night stay whilst travelling from Devon to Cumbria, this lodge is certainly showing its age, wooden single glazed windows rotten in places bed very uncomfotable bathroom very tired. No problem with staff. More

We stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. The staff throughout were very friendly - that's probably the best thing I can say though, unfortunately! The room, and especially the bathroom, was extremely tired looking and in need of a complete makeover. It was clean though and cheap - I only paid £19 a night; to be honest if I'd... More

For £20 a room what do you honestly expect? It is 500m from the motorway, handy for my travel, reception staff were friendly, room was clean, big double bed, freeview TV, decent shower, kettle etc. I stay in Travelodges a lot on business to keep costs down, and this one was absolutely fine. Not somewhere I would take the Mrs... More

I have stayed in hotels before but never in my life have I stayed in one as bad as this. To start with when me and my partner entered the corridor leading to the room it smelt of damp, then entered the room to say the least it was basic. We started to notice things around the room like stains... More

My husband and I booked a room here for the 6 & 7th of December. The room was cold due to the window being open. It was 1 am when we arrived so you can imagine it was freezing. The radiator didn't work. The duvet was wrapped around a sheet so it burst out when you got into bed. The... More

Just a one night stop over for me. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were typical Travelodge and clean. There is a little chef next door, but the highlight for me was the Robin Hood pub across the road. More

My stay was the bestest ever and Andrew at reception was the most helpful person ever and directed us to a lovely pub the staff are amazing and everyone should stop whinging. Night receptionist Sheridan was however another level of rude and is clearly not as trained in customer service as Andrew. More

Terrible! Awful! Old fashioned! Disgusting! In need of redecorating! Avoid! Theres a Holiday Inn Express down the road...GO THERE INSTEAD!!! I paid £15 for our family room and to be honest I paid too much! I have very little positives to say except it was good location wise to split up our journey to Devon and the chap on reception... Soulless, shabby and hotter than the fires of hell! Stayed here to break a journey up, wish we'd carried on driving. Paintwork was awful, surfaces felt grubby. Bathroom tiles mouldy, shower curtain stained etc It was a warm night and I went and asked reception if there was anyway we could reduce the tempeature. The receptionist commiserated with me and... Stayed overnight en-route to Devon, only paid £15 for the room, so who could grumble. Had read reviews, also son & family have used this lodge so were prepared for the pitfalls. The staff were lovely, the room had recently been repainted, albeit rather hit and miss!. Windows do need to be replaced, rotten frames, bathroom could have been cleaner,... More
