Stayed for just one night in this very beautiful old house. Obviously a lot of care has been put into its ongoing renovation works and anyone with a love of history will enjoy staying here. One point which spoilt it for us was that we were looking for somewhere to stay with our two small dogs. Whilst we were told... more

My wife surprised me with a night at Allington Manor House for our 3rd wedding anniversary. From the outside the house was very impressive, and after being met by the very genial owner at the door and shown to the room (the brilliant 'Lord's Room' with a roll top bath at the end of the bed) we had the most... more

We stopped for just one night while at the national firework championships at Belvoir Castle in August 2009. The manor is fabulous, the building ooses character, is very clean, bright and airy, we stayed in the lords room with our 2 year old boy, huge room with roll top bath. Massive bed very very comfortable and the location is very... more

We stayed at Allington Manor to celebrate a birthday with family. We were a little dissapointed that evening meals were not provided as indicated in the hotel guide, but food in the local Welby Arms was good. For the birthday dinner we went to the Chequers in Woolsthorpe which was excellent. We took three rooms which were all well furnished... more

I can't do this place enough justice. The manor is a honey-coloured house from 1640 with a double Dutch gable - really pretty. Inside is great if you like antiques and a quirky house - we stayed in the Lords room which was huge, with a cast-iron bath on feet in the room! Separate private shower room. Molton Brown soaps... more

My husband and I do not live far from Allington but due to being pregnant I did not want to travel far to celebrate our anniversary. We have stayed at the manor before and had a really lovely stay, so we booked again. There was some confusion about our online booking though, so I would recommend calling the day before... more

We stayed here in April while hubby was making use of his Christmas presents at the "Everyman" Race Track. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it. We were in the Lords Room and I loved the roll top bath!! Very relaxing!! It was great to get out the bath and make use of the open fire in our room... more

We stayed for an overnight in 'The Lady's Room.' Loved the place. When you walk into the hallway the history hits you straight away with coats of armour, swords, shields and a huge circular oak table which King Arthur would have been proud of. The bedroom was simple yet nice, with a stand alone in the room itself which I... more

We booked a stay at Allington Manor based on a review from a popular guidebook. We booked for one night as we were visiting a couple of towns and needed a decent place to stay. Probably the first thing to state is that Allington Manor is B&B. It is a stunning Dutch influenced building in a picturesque village - a... more

We stayed at Allington Manor on our wedding night...it was the perfect ending to a perfect day. The whole place was exceptional as was the service. I have never felt so special in my life. The Lords room was amazing and there were plenty of little extras and personal touches that finished the stay off. The whole house is breathtaking... more
