Stayed here on a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. The food and service were faultless and the staff were excellent - they even gave us a refund as we had payed too much, how honest of them. Hogmany was terrific with dancing in the street to a live band and a nice mug of hot soup... More

Once again stayed at the Garth while visiting Inverness on business. If you are struggling for a room in Inverness try here, it's only 1/2 an hour away. Set in the picturesque village of Grantown you won't get a better deal, £45 dinner, bed & breakfast. The dinner is worth that alone! The venison was to die for. Breakfast is... More

We had dinner here whilst on a Highland break and couldn't get over how nice it was right from the moment we walked in and were greeted by a lovely lady through to the amazing food. My partner had lobster which was brilliantly priced and very well cooked, in fact our meal was one of the best we had all... More

Perfect base for visiting distileries and being just out of season a real bargain. The staff were very friendly, food very good and the room was first class. Looking for an excuse to go again! More

Staying in Grantown on Spey for a fortnight in self-catering accommodation, we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out on our last night. The Garth is the only hotel in Grantown worth the candle, in our opinion. Dinner was lovely from arrival to departure, with friendly, attentive staff. The choice of food on offer was admirable and the quantity... More

good hotel, staff really friendly, once we checked in the receptionist took us to our room which was on the front of hotel, we had asked for a quiet room (when we booked with booking.com), but there was not much traffic on the road so we put up with a small bit of noise, rooms were modern, would stay here... Took my mother out for lunch on 21/10/11 and found this really nice restaurant. It is at the far end of Grantown as you come from Aviemore. The decor is warm, welcoming just the way a country hotel should be. The staff very friendly, polite and looking if they enjoyed there job. The service was very efficient and at your... More

We enjoyed our stay at The Garth Hotel. It may lack a little in modernity but it represents good value both for the accommodation and the restaurant. The food was good quality, the room was comfortable, if a little cold, but what stood out for us was the staff. They were really warm and welcoming from the cleaners, to the... More
