Really enjoyable stay at this well run, warm and friendly hotel. The bar and restaurant were first class and the service especially good. Menu fabulous and wine list too. Put my faith back in British regional hotels.. Well done.

We stayed two nights with our three kids aged 2, 4 and 6. It was very easy for the kids, especially having food available all day and friendly staff. There's no specific kids facilities but it still felt family friendly and very welcoming.

It's more than 20 years since I was at this hotel as I have moved away from the region. Returning to this lovely old manor house was a real pleasure, particularly as it was welcoming to enter after a five hour drive with snow! Both food and wine were good and, critically for us, the bed comfortable
