It is a Travelodge. So similar to ever other Travelodge in the country... However it is a slightly older model, and a little drab around the edges. Rooms clean and appointed. (Note, not "well-appointed"!). Beds extremely comfy though, a big plus! And not too much (if any) traffic noise, which makes a difference. The Travelodge is accessed at the back... More

I should have read the reviews here before I visited Kinross - at least it would have set my expectations more appropriately. This site is tired and in need of refurbishment. For a stopover, en-route, it was OK. You should bear in mind that the site is adjacent to a motorway service area, so expect some traffic noise. The bed... More

I will start with the Good. Bed linen and towels were spotless, thank you. Good powerful shower, again thank you. But sadly that’s where it ends. The minute you go in the door it is Smokey, smelly, dirty and generally not welcoming. Desk regularly left unattended. Staff smoking in the entrance. It is badly in need of updating, and a... More

Tired and needs some upgarding. However, for the money was reasonably good value as it was clean and comfortable.Agree with previously stated comment that front desk was left unattended at times. More

Uncomfortable beds & worn, tired old rooms. Not like any other travelodge I'm used to. More

An old travel lodge in a run down service area, front desk never had anyone on so anyone could have walked in. Rooms were clean but dated. When we saw the staff they were friendly. Pillows were rubbish and rooms are noisy. More

I don't know what the other reviewers were expecting when they booked into a Travelodge. Come on people, it's a basic place run on low margins with little room for investment. It's bound to get a little tatty over time. Having said that, decoratively it's not as tatty as some similar places we have stayed. Sheets and towels are clean... More

Having read the previous reviews I was a little worried. However as we only paid £10 a night I figured it couldn't be too bad. We found the lodge easily and were checked in very quickly by a very helpful staff member. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable and, given that the service station was home on... Considering I booked this months in advance and it cost £70 I would have expected an easy chair to sit in at the very least. One basic plastic chair in this room. If it had been a bargain deal at £30 I wouldn't have minded. As a tour operator dealing with exclusive tours, I will be very careful who I... More

Stayed here for one night on business trip as nowhere in Kinross was available. This Travelodge is the worst lodge I have stayed in. The woman who checked me in had no idea how the computer worked so took 20 minutes to get room key. The room had no sofa so only one hard plastic chair to sit on. The... More
