This guesthouse is close to Kirkwall Quay with a view of the sea but far enough away from the main road to be quiet. The bedroom and en-suite were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. Pleasant and welcoming owners.

Just back home after a two night stay in Kirkwall and would happily recommend the Polrudden Guest House to anyone looking for a quiet friendly spot to lay their head. Having spent honeymoon in London and Paris we were looking for something or somewhere different to finish it off and this was perfect.
We left Inverness at 0700hrs and travelled to John O'Groats by bus, then took the passenger ferry over to Orkney then on to Kirkwall through some spectacular scenery.
Polrudden Guest House is a wee walk (7 mins)...
