A lovely old hotel packed with charm, located in a fabulous town directly in the market place. We've stayed here many times, it's not the Ritz but is worth the stay, particularly in some of their top floor rooms. Friendly staff and helpful when we needed something. I booked a sofa table in the Lounge Bar. I was visiting the Oakham School and wanted to avoid the pubs. I have to say the service was outstanding. This is not a 5* hotel, nor is it modern. It is a very quiet, country hotel with original features and a warm, cosy, relaxed atmosphere.
