A GREAT B and B. Non the run-of-the mill soulless stay in corporate hell, we were welcomed by Tina and Lester and made to feel at home immediately. Most comfortable bed we've slept in away from home for ages, a great night's sleep. Fresh (really fresh) fruit salad for breakfast, great cooked breakfast and fantastic value for money. My boyfriend and i needed somewhere to stay to break up a long journey along the m6. We arrived at midnight and the owner let us in and could not have been more helpful. Holly Bank House is a beautiful sprawling place. It is full of antiquities and nick nacks you just can't help but look in all directions! The suits of armour in the hall were great. We stayed in the family room (2 adults & 2 children) which was very spacious, clean and comfortable and full of lovely quirky furniture. Our children... more

We've stayed at Holly Bank House twice now - and it really is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are pretty, the house interesting, well tended gardens and breakfasts to die for. The hosts are warm and friendly; nothing was too much trouble. I'd heartily recommend a visit. more
