This is a beautiful hotel with adequate parking and very helpful staff. But our first reaction to our room was not so good. It was very small and dark and cramped and the furnishings were very very tired. The bathroom in comparison was very good. Their were wires hanging down from a dark wood surround, gaps in the window causing... More

Dear Guest - Many thanks for posting a review, although I am at a loss as to where you stayed within the Hotel? I have checked back through our maintenance and comment books and there is no record of anything you have mentioned. I have also had my Maintenance team check all rooms as you mention wires and drafts and... More

I have stopped here on business several times and I have seen a dramatic improvement in this hotel. Staff our very attentive and enthusiastic, the rooms are comfy and it's worth paying the extra for a room in the stables complex they're a home from home. The food is excellent I recommend the ceaser salad and the burgers, the quality... More

We had a wonderful week in this hotel. It was lovely to be in an old "stately home" and the surroundings were so peaceful. We were lucky to have wonderful weather and to be able to eat outside - the 4 cheese pasta was absolutely superbly cooked and the green leaves were lovely. The only thing - the rooms were... More

Dear Guest - Many thanks for taking the time to post your recent review. I am glad you enjoyed your food with us and it is unfortunate that, as a Grade 2 listed building, some of our rooms are on the smaller side. I do hope to welcome you back to the Mount in the future. Kind Regards More

We stayed here in early 2011 for one night and were disappointed. The hotel was rather 'tired' to say the least and we were sad to see it having known The Mount in its heyday. We have now stayed here twice in April and cannot believe the improvements the new owners have made. On one occasion we also tried the... More

My daughter had risotto which we all tried and it was excellent, the surroundings are perfect and I hope more local people like ourselves use it. We know intend to try it out at... More

My significant other and I stayed here in April 2012 on our visit to the UK. The hotel is beautiful inside and has that old world charm I was hoping for. Our room was nice and the bathroom was very clean. The restaurant The Drawing Room has very good food and is beautifully decorated. More
