We visited Yeovil for one night last week and stayed in The Preston. We were allocated a room outside in the building seperate from the main one which was fine. The room was perfect - the mattresses were very comfortable and a welcome break from the very thin Travelodge ones we had become used to over the past week of... More

First visit to the Preston Hotel for Sunday lunch, can't believe I have missed this for so long, just 10 mins walk from my house.Reasonably priced bar drinks, very good service and the food was exceptional and great value for 3 courses at £9.95. Will definately treat the family again to lunch on a Sunday if they all behave theirselves !... More

Before dining we purchased drinks at the bar, reasonably priced and good service from the bar staff, relaxed environment, we were able to drink at the bar or take out drinks to the pleasant outdoor area at the front of the hotel. We dined on a Sunday and had the opportunity to try the very reasonably priced 3 course sunday... More

We have just come back from a nights stay at this hotel and I am glad I didn't read the reviews some people had left previously as they certainly didn't do the hotel justice or didn't go to the same hotel. We arrived to be shown to a chalet out the back but a little funny looking from the outside... More

We went to The Preston for a Sunday lunch which was great value at £9.95 for 3 superb courses. The staff were very freindly and professional and the surroundings fresh and chic. The young chef is a real talent as the food he prepared was nothing short of superb, a sentiment which we overheard on other tables nearby. We'll definately... More

We have just spent two nights at The Preston, we had chosen this hotel for location and price, visiting family in the area and wanting to spend some time relaxing. Some previous reviews made me slightly unsure but went ahead with the booking. The Preston has just changed hands around six weeks ago, we were booked into one of the... More

While the room was generally clean the furniture was made up of odd bits and pieces and like the decor was to say the least from a bygone age. The bathroom was dreadful with an ill fitting door, a shaving mirror that you had to stoop to look into, a light fitting above the mirror that did not have a... More

Stopped over for one night alone for a concert in the nearby Westland Leisure Centre. Staff were good, the room was fine with a difficult shower but the facilities were good for the price. Didn't have dinner there but the breakfast was excellent - the dining/bar area has been made to boutique standard which is a nice surprise contrasting with... More
