Enjoyed a lovely few days at this guest house. Our room was spacious comfortable and clean. We had to find the knack to get the shower to run at a constant temperature but then it was fine. Breakfasts were of a very high standard - the bread and the marmalade were home made and everything perfectly cooked and well presented.

We took our French goddaughter to the Peak district and had a wonderful weekend. Not only the Peak District and Buxton but a refreshingly family welcome at Grendon GH. Big rooms, very peaceful and breakfasts that keep you going all day. We will be back.

We checked in at this great B&B in Buxton Derbyshire to explore the local area. Very nice LARGE room with a wonderful Ye Olde Worlde feel to it. Breakfast was freshly cooked with home made bread & jams !!! Pleasant accommodating host who was very helpful in advising on activities.

Recently had a weekend at the Grendon. Our four poster bedroom was like a suite in a hotel. The room was big and the shower room separate from the bathroom was also very spacious. We stayed for 2 nights from the 15march13, in the Rookery room, a spacious clean room, comfortable homely feel, breakfast was good with a good selection even for the vegetarian. Hilary the owner was welcoming, the guest house being in central Buxton provides good access to various sites around the Peak District and only a 10min walk from the town.... More

Found this B&B on Tripadvisor. Really happy with our choice. We stayed for 3 nights and were very comfortable and "at home" here which is important for us and is why we choose B&B's over hotels. We wanted to arrive when Hilary was away but she kindly came to an arrangement with us which meant we could do just that.... More

Hilary was a gracious hostess, kind enough to do a load of laundry for is and insist that any payment in kind be made to a charity for deaf dogs which she has raised thousands of pounds . The bedroom was large and the breakfast excellent.
