The Buckingham Hotel was a nice place to visit before undergoing change of hands a few years ago. If you don't value your customers then you can't expect your customers to write a good review. The only advise I can give to this establishment is either send the manager on a customer relations course or perhaps recommend to retrain at... More

We ate there but didn't stay there. The resturant decor could be beautiful, but as it is, it is a traditional style, but has grey walls and bright pink paintwork including the dado rails. Carpet dirty. The doors were open between the restuarant and the bar and so our "entertainment" was the antics of the blokes in the bar getting... More

My wife and I enjoyed a few days at The Buckingham. It is ideally situated overlooking the Opera House and Pavilion Gardens. Our room was large, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was huge. The bed was very comfortable, and the room very quiet.Breakfast was exceptionally good,an extensive choice of quality juices & cereal. The cooked breakfast was extremely good & very generous. The range of marmalades etc.was... Firstly, a great central Buxton location. If you are there to attend anything in the Opera House, it is just a hop skip and a jump away. The décor is Hollywood/starstruck (our room was the Sharon Stone one) Slightly odd that the windows in the bathroom weren't obscure, but there were blinds. The restaurant has a slightly amateurish feel -... More

My wife and I have just come back from a short stay at the Bucingham Hotel Buxton. Although the decor was a bit faded, some how it seemed to work. Lovely breakfast and lovely evening meal. Ideally central to all that Buxton has to offer. Try the Indian Palace Indian restaraunt in town, really nice. As for the Buckingahm, we... More

We stayed for just one night at the Buckingham having booked last minute. We found the hotel to be friendly and warm a bit quirky and different but in a good way! Our room on the 3rd floor, was spacious, clean and warm, with a lovely freestanding bath for a long soak. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. We made... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We were on the third floor and with the lift out of order this was a bit of a pain - but then perhaps it was good to have exercise after such good breakfasts. Our room was plenty big enough for us and our 7 year old son.... More

We booked this hotel last minute to have a night away with our two young children & our 10 week old baby. We arrived at the hotel and the outside appearance was ok, however once we stepped inside our opinion changed dramatically! The decor was.......decorative, to say the least! On checking in the receptionist was polite, friendly and directed us... More
