Still true to its roots as a 17th century border town inn; it offers 'olde worlde' charm and 'new world' wifi access and swimming pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our one day stay. Easy to find, right in the heart of the village, good parking, very pleasant greeting, nice big, light room and bathroom, modern flat screen telly, decent breakfast served... More

Another wonderful stay at Seven Stars. Can't praise friendly staff, great varied and plentiful breakfasts, fun pool and sauna and general ambience enough. Location in centre of Hay, a beautiful little town, ideal. It's like coming back home every year- already booked for 2014.

Back home again from our wonderful annual week spent in the beautiful Ancient Market Town of Hay on Wye. Complete with fairy tale Castle and nestling in the Wye Valley surrounded by the lush green hills of Powys County with the flowing river running through. We visit there each year for the Literary Festival and have stayed for the last... More

Stayed here for one night and it ticked all boxes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and helped towards fuelling my cycle for the day! I didn't have time to use the pool so can't comment on that.

Hay on Wye is a charming town, and when we arrived at the end of a long day travelling through the beautiful Brecon Beacons, we were pleased to see that the B&B was close to the centre of the town, and ideally placed for visiting. The access to the large car park at the back of the building is extremely... More

A repeat trip to the Seven Stars - and it really is a home from home! Warm and comfortable, spotlessly clean and a very tasty breakfast to set you up for the day. Di, the landlady, really makes it - it is like staying with your mates but without feeling guilty for not doing the washing up! My hot tip... More

Enjoyed spending a few nights here during my first trip to Hay-on-Wye. Good quality B&B-style accommodation, very friendly owner and ample breakfasts including lovely salmon and scrambled eggs. Tip: need to take your own hair dryer, if you feel the need to use one. Overall, liked the B&B atmosphere and was pleased to try out the excellent indoor pool. This... More

My daughter and I return each year to the Seven Sisters for the Hay-on-Wye Literary Festival in May/June. It is a lovely old (in the nicest possible way) B.and B with warm and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfasts with lots of choice and the crowning glory - a wonderful pool and sauna. We prefer to stay... More

I returned to the Seven Stars, mainly because I stayed there 30 years ago! How glad that I am to have done so. I had a lovely room at the front, with space, bedside tables and lamps on each side of the bed, a long mirror, enough wardrobe space and a very special bathroom. The bath tub was delightful, and...
