Great location, great breakfast except no orange juice, nice lady runs it. V good shower in the morning except no shampoos in the room. Lots of TV channels but TV remote not working. Lacks attention to detail but it's still not bad and good value. I would stay there again. Nearly v good. More

Very very cold rooms, over priced and made unwelcome by owner when asked to turn the heating on, it was a lottery for hot water in the shower, the customer is always wrong in the first hurdle. More

We were pointed to the First Hurdle by a local after arriving in town with no reservations and our first options booked up. The price was lower than any other place we had stayed during our week in Wales, and the value was good. Location was great-- just off the main thoroughfares.
