This hotel is excellent. Clean, comfortable and very helpful staff. At the time of staying it was very busy for the staff, but we were still dealt with very quickly and efficiently. This is a old established building, immediately you enter there is a feeling of friendliness and cosiness. Food is fantastic.We will definately be staying here next year.

I'd agree with some of the other reviews below that the Beaufort needs a bit of a makeover, but personally that doesn't bother me. Clearly a two star environment. Uncomfortable beds, dated bathrooms, poorly fitted windows. Dont order the cooked breakfast as part of the deal because they offer an all day breakfast for £1 less to walk in customers ... how is that right ? The staff were polite and available when required. If you like the great outdoors then you will like the Beaufort because I have sat in fields that are cleaner than this place. Sticky carpets are a unique feature, not to mention the odd collection of punters propping up the bar.

Eight of us stayed here for one night in April sharing four rooms as a stopover for Offa's Dyke. We paid £99 per room (£50 each) which included three course evening meal and full english breakfast.
