Stumbled upon the Beaufort whilst looking for a hotel in Chepstow for business purposes and what a pleasant surprise! Traditional hotel with plenty of character and impeccable cleanliness. This hotel is in an ideal location and within walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants however the food at the hotel was delicious. Hotel staff were polite and friendly with a... More

We stayed at this hotel on the 14th April. Its situated in a really good spot. We had food in the restaurant and it was really tasty couldn't fault it. Its really oldy worldy and cosey. However, on the Sunday morning we were awoken at 8:30 by extremely loud music. We assumed it must be coming from a neighbouring building... More

The Beaufort Hotel is in the racing town of Chepstow nestled in the quaint little street of St Marys and there you will find this charming small hotel. It is cosy and inviting offering a delightful restaurant with good food and value for money, with helpful staff. Enjoyable place to stay for a short relaxing break. Mr & Mrs Buchanan,... More

All of the food was cold and of a pathetic standard The woman who was serving our table stomped around the room and was rude to our party. When drinks were ordered that were not available this was not stated and an alternative was brought with no explanation. The worst meal and service I have ever had. Avoid this place... More

This review is unbelievable, literally. Everything the "reviewer" says is directly in contravention of our normal restaurant food and service response from diners. I can only believe that this is a deliberately malevolent attempt by someone to discredit a very successful business More

We were four couples enjoying a Six Nations weekend break. From then time we entered the hotel we were cheerily and helpfully engaged by everyone at the Beaufort from friendly Chantelle at the front of the house to the excellent chef at the other end. The management’s approach is commendably enterprising, from doing a good deal on the “group” booking... More

On arrival we were greeted with a warm smile from a very nice man who directed us into a parking space, Chantelle on reception also greeted us with a cheery hello and was very helpful. Although the rooms were a bit dated it added to the charm of the place. We had a lovely drink in the bar before we... More

If you go to the Beaufort for lunch, try the Omelets, they are absolutely gorgeous, the menu is excellent. The Beaufort are also very good at parties, our family have had two or three parties here and the staff are brilliant and very friendly, they don't mind you decorating the room in advance, overall we have found nothing to complain...
