Had a very comfortable stay in this establishment, very clean, welcoming, you must expect noise when a property is on a main road, it didn't stop us having a good nights sleep, would have preferred a top sheet under the duvet, but thst is a personal point of view.Breakfast was very enjoyable, full english lovely. Thank you for your lovely review; we do try to please. Sorry, we stopped using top sheets when we introduced Duvets & their covers are washed at every change. However should any of our guests wish to have a top sheet we would happily supply if requested. Hope to see you both again next time. Kind regards Sue & Alan More

Stayed at the Rob Roy for one night before catching the ferry. It was spotless and the room was okay but the b&b is on a very busy road and the windows are not double glazed so you can hear the traffic, My friend stayed in the rear room and was disturbed by people using the toilet in the night... So sorry you were disturbed. Unfortunately, after days of quiet, we had a wedding party in who booked the other 5 rooms that weekend. Kind regards Alan & Sue More

At just over £50 for a double room the Rob Roy is great value for money. My wife and I stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and were very happy. We had a warm welcome, our room was clean, bright and nicely decorated, and the bed was really comfortable. For breakfast I had two poached eggs on toast and... More

Thank you for your lovely review, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay. Sorry the water pressure comes & goes in the mains shower. (Too many people in the world now, using it all up!) Love to see you both again next time. Kind regards Sue & Alan More

Stayed here for one night only, spotless rooms with clean sheets and friendly owners. Good value for money. It is on a reasonably busy road however the owners lent me a motorycle chain for the night. Did not have the cooked breakfast however the buffet breakfast was more than adequate. Would stay again for one night. More

My wife's grandparents live in Folkestone and we tend to caravan down there when we visit. However, November is freezing cold and this visit was necessitated by her Grandfather's passing. So, after much research, we booked into the Rob Roy. We had last stayed here in December 2006 and were allocated a room on the top floor. This time we... More

Hello and thank you for your kind review. All your points are duly noted. Sue will look into a King size duvet for over 6 footers! We can not put a King Size bed in the family room or guests could not get past the full size bunks. Yes, sometimes the mains shower looses pressure when loads of people are... More

Have stayed in quite a few hotels in the area so decided to try a guest house on the other side of Folekstone to the Leas. I was contacted in advance of our stay to organise key picking up etc. Had the option of dropping our suitacase off early and parking up, however we were seeing a show so didn't... More

Sue & Alan are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us so much. It is so nice when we know we have made our guests stay enjoyable. Yes, the Leas Cliff Hall Theater is in the west end of Folkestone; a brisk 20 minutes walk away. But only 5 minutes away in a taxi which we will always... More

We would have no problem in recommending this hotel to anyone traveling with pets. The en-suite bedroom was more than adequate for our 1 night stay with our 3 dogs before our ferry over to France. We found the owners very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the garden very useful for the dogs. The best bit... More
