This is really a bar with rooms above. Go in and wait ...... and wait until attended by a pizza faced bored teenager. Around Christmas my wife and I were visiting from California, and we stayed at the Sandgate for several nights. The rooms were wonderful, warm, and cozy. The staff was not only efficient, but good company as well. Every morning we'd have breakfast outside, right across from the beach. Next time I'm there I hope they have a room available. more
